There are approximately 30,000 people in the United States with Cystic Fibrosis(CF). It only takes a threesome to help find a cure.
Ryan Abel lost his fight with CF on January 4th. 2008.
A benefit for Cystic Fibrosis research, The Ryan Abel CF Classic started with just an idea and has developed into an annual summer event. The Abel family and close friends do all the recruiting of golfers, sponsors and donations for the tournament.
The fun started the summer of 2003 with a small amount of donations, sponsors, and a few teams of golfers. In 2006 there were close to 20 teams and over $5300.00 was raised for Cystic Fibrosis research.
This year the tournament will be held at the Zumbro Valley Golf Course in Mantorville, MN. Registration starts at 11:00am and tee off at noon.
This is a three person, best ball 18-hole tournament on an 9-hole golf course. Registration is just $150.00 per team and includes golfing, a cart and dinner provided by the Zumbro Valley Golf Course following the tournament. There will also be door prizes and a silent auction to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The cost for a hole sponsorship is $100.00 and includes a 2x2 foot sign with your name on it.
Donations for door prizes and the silent auction are always welcome and are greatly appreciated.
